Vicki is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in Psychology & Counseling. She has volunteered/worked with seniors since the age of 14. Her heart and passion is serving seniors. She feels the Lord has prepared her for this position over the years. Her husband died from Leukemia in 1996, leaving her with a 4 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. Through this experience it has helped her provide love, care, counsel and compassion to our seniors dealing with various issues like cancer, loss, grief and loneliness. Since 2006 she has held many different positions with Home Instead Senior Care. Her roles include CAREGiver, Recruitment & Retention Coordinator, Staffing Coordinator and General Manager. She feels so blessed to be a part of Home Instead Senior Care and deeply believes in their mission and commitment to providing quality care to our seniors. She will tell you, “I love my job, the people I have the privilege to work with and the seniors we serve!”
Karen Melton

Karen grew up in Florence, SC but moved to Horry County 8 years ago. She is married and has 2 sons, Hunter and Austin, and a daughter, Autumn. She received her Bachelors Degree from Francis Marion University. Karen began her career with Home Instead in 2008 as a CAREGiver. She has since worked as the Recruitment Coordinator, Staffing Coordinator, and now is our Office Manager. She also serves as our media online specialist. She has been a team player serving wherever she is needed most.
Melissa Tresslar

Melissa lived in New Jersey, but after decades of visiting family in North Carolina and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, she made the permanent move south 7 years ago with her husband of over 20 years, Chris, and her daughter, Gabriella. Melissa joined the Home Instead team as a CAREGiver in 2011, where she quickly realized she was part of something truly special. “After caring for several senior family members myself, then seeing the difference Home Instead made not just in our clients lives but also their families, I knew this is where I wanted to be.” She now serves as Education Coordinator, taking the lead in Home Instead CAREGiver training and education, as well as conducting educational workshops for families and communities. Always wanting to stay in touch with senior issues and concerns, Melissa continues to attend professional workshops/seminars and has earned her certificate in Gerontology.

Vickie is a native of Ohio, attended Akron University, and has lived in South Carolina since 1988. She and her family spent many summers vacationing in Myrtle Beach, and decided to relocate and make this their new home. In May of 1989 she joined First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach as the Financial Secretary, and the years following as an Administrative Assistant. Vickie has been blessed with an amazing daughter who keeps her busy and fills her life with great joy. She loves people, and has always had a passion for helping others. Vickie joined the Home Instead Team in March of 2013, as our Staffing Coordinator.

Tina Mitchell

Constantina (Tina) Mitchell grew up in Statesville, NC. After marrying and giving birth to two sons, Jay and Gaston, she earned her Associate’s Degree from Mitchell College. Tina and her family moved to Texas for several years. During Tina’s stint in San Antonio, Texas, she worked as an interim teacher and assisted with facilitating a reading program at Lackland ISD. In 2010, Tina relocated to Myrtle Beach where she became a Caregiver. In June of 2016, she accepted her current position of Home Care Consultant. Tina enjoys spending time with family and friends. Assisting others continues to be the focus of Tina’s life. She thinks of herself as a humanitarian with an old soul.
